Dessie Higgins comes from Dublin, emigrated to the USA, in the mid eighties, living in Boston and Washington DC, where there was lots of Irish music.

Dessie eventually got a chance to visit Savannah GA and that where the fairy tale began. People like Harry and Tracy O’Donoghue, and all at Kevin Barry’s.  Dessie feels blessed to have been able to play in such a beautiful city. Dessie eventually moved to Denmark for love and had two beautiful daughters, He loves to tell them of all of his worldly travels.

His daughters,  Selma And Enya, visited Savannah with their mother last year and both girls are so happy to play for the Savannah Celtic Heritage Festival this year. Dessie and his family with ye all the best of Irish luck for the festival.
